This beautiful vintage etching from 1968 by JJ Moody showcases a unique surrealist scene. With a titled "strange company," this black and white piece features a musician with an oversized turban playing the sitar surrounded by masked animals. Limited to an artist proof edition, this etching will bring a touch of intrigue and creativity to any space.
Etching is 15” x 18” and is a bit faded as you can see where a matt or frame once laid on the paper
This is from the collection is Anton “Tony”Rajer, an international art conservator and Christine Style, a UWGB Emeritus Professor of Printmaking. Chris acquired this artwork in Chicago at the Ox Bow School of Art.
