This rare traditional type of African headband was worn by Nbedele women when their sons were at an initiation camp. The long ends hang down from the headband and are called Linga Koba or long tears.

The age is unknown.

There are 2 areas where the threads are loose or possibly retied to keep the beads on. The beads however all seem secure. There is a small piece of beading that has come off the end of the headband.
