All pages are tight with no missing pages. The binding is solid.
Expect to see wear to the corners and edges of the cover of the book. There is what I believe is white wall paint on the bottom of the book and a red spot on the gilt edges of the pages.
The interior pages have tanned over time. Where there are illustrations a ghost image has been transferred to the opposite page.
In the center of the book there is a place to enter family records. The original owners of the book, the Theil family, have hand written information about their families marriages, births and deaths ranging from 1823 to 1871.
