This Mexican sterling silver brooch features an Aztec design with Aztec Emperor Cuauhtemoc in a round shape. With 6 dangling silver teardrop-shaped beads, it can also be worn as a pendant. A unique and intricate addition to any jewelry collection.

The back is finished with a round hinge and safety catch as well as a loop to allow it to be used as a pendant if desired. It was made sometime before 1948 and is simply marked: Sterling 925 Hecho en Mexico. The brooch is also stamped with the maker's mark JS.

It measures 2” x 2.5” including the drops.
I tested the metal and it did test positive for sterling silver.

Great vintage condition!
