Rare Art Deco Silver Plate Vanity Makeup Case with 19 Inset Rubies

This lovely silver makeup case has 19 tiny rubies inset in a hand chased floral design. These rubies may be synthetic rubies as it was popular to use them during the art deco period. It opens to reveal a small mirror and two separate compartments for makeup. It has an additional compartment which pulls out to reveal a lipstick container with the lipstick still inside. It is finished with a braided silver chain. The inside is stamped with the number 1.

This case measures 4.5” wide x 3.25” tall x 2” deep.

It has a small dent on the corner of the lid but it is otherwise in great vintage condition.
