This Polynesian antique kava bowl is all hand carved from one piece of wood. It is covered on the underside with a dark pigment but the inside of the bowl is unfinished.
Bowl is 11 1/2" x 9 1/2" x 2"tall
There are very slight chips to the outer edge of the bowl and some water marks on the inside of the bowl. The handles appear to have been broken at one time and glued together. It still displays nicely and looks quite natural.
