This antique gem from the Georgian period boasts a stunning mottled orange carnelian agate cabachon, prong set in lustrous 10k gold. It measures just over 1.5” x 1.25”.
There is a little chip out of the stone at the edge. It is not noticeable when worn. Some of the prongs are missing but the stone is firmly in place. There is a sticker on the back of the stone which has obviously been there for some time. It has the number 1820 on it which I believe is likely the date of this brooch.
