Victorian Velvet and Silk Picture Frame

This antique picture frame is a beautiful and functional addition to any home decor. Made with antique Victorian-era design, this frame features a luxurious wood covered in velvet and ruched silk. The frame measures 7”x 9”.
The photo opening is 3.75” x 5.5”.

The frame comes with its original glass cover. The cover is small and does not fit fully into the recess in the frame. I believe at one time it might have been glued in place. Because it is small it tends to slide downward so I cut a larger piece of glass for it. I cut it out of an old hand rolled piece of glass so that it has that slightly wavy and bubbly appearance old glass is known for. It sits more firmly in the pocket it will be easier to keep in place. I will include both pieces of glass and you can decide which one you would like to use. The last two pictures show the difference in the glass sizes.
There is some age appropriate wear to the frame as would be expected but it displays beautifully.
