This antique Belgian jewelry box is expertly crafted from cast brass and boasts a beautifully detailed bird and lion motif, showcasing the finest Belgian design. There are no markings on the box but I have seen the identical box with the mark made in Belgium on the bottom.
It measures 6” wide, 3.25” tall and 4.5” deep.
There is no key. The velvet lining on the lid of the box appears to have slid down but may have been applied that way originally. It is firmly in place and does not shift at all. The box is otherwise in great antique condition.
