The paint has beaded up to the left and below the image of the girl. This paint is firmly intact and not flaking in any way. The picture is not secured in the frame but stays firmly in place when hung. 
The gilding on the frame is worn and a few small pieces of the floral decoration are missing. Overall though it is in good condition for being over 150 years old.
